booting 370DLE *without* video?

I have recently booted a 370DL3 (a 370DLE with onboard SCSI) "headless"
using a beta BIOS supplied by Supermicro Technical Support.  This has an
additional line under the "Advanced" menu that allows "Serial Redirect
Console".
