Ask The Community

The Agenda process will be as follows. Each year we will run a survey to identify the challenges facing the community. The results from the survey will be used as the Cluster Challenges section of the Agenda. We will collect this data from July to December of each year. Once the survey is complete, we will post the challenges and invite the community to comment on these issues.

Community members are also invited to contribute to the Cluster Road Map. Both the Cluster Challenges and the Road Map pages will be available for community input and editing. You will need to be a registered user to contribute.

The 2005/2006 Survey and Timeline

For this year we are using the 2005 survey launched in 2005, which is still open. We will start a new survey in the middle of 2006. The current agenda schedule is as follows:

  • December 2005: Launch Wiki and start creating the document.
  • August 2006: Draft Version "The Cluster Agenda 2007" will be available.
  • November 2006: General Release of 2007 printed version at SC06 in Tampa.

The Road map will be open for editing all year.

At the end of each year we will snapshot the Agenda and convert the data into a publicly released document.

For those interested, survey results (so far) are in the 2005 Why Do Clusters Suck? page and the questionnaire is still available as well.
