We use quite a few of wire-shelved HP N36L with 8 GByte
ECC DDR3 RAM and 4x 3 TByte Hitachi drives with zfs,
running NexentaCore and napp-it. They export via NFS
and CIFS, but in principle you could use these for a cluster FS.
