[Beowulf] pvm groups

Hi all,
I am running a pvm3 program that uses groups. The pvm group server (pvmgs) is 
in the pvmd search path, however I'm getting the following message in the 
pvml log file: 

Group Server already running?: Permission denied

When started manually, it goes ok. It shoudn't start automatically ?
