[Beowulf] multi-platform clustering

Good day,

I am looking for references for deployed clusters or
clustering solution which support multiple OS'.
I'm not interested in what OS' particularly, but in
the architecture of these systems and why they
are deployed.


I'm just doing some basic research into the topic.
