I have a couple dozen opterons in house on the arima board and have had no
such issues as you are reporting. We did have a tyan in house for a
couple days but did not give it a thorough test to see what your are
seeing. We have been running Suse 8.1 and 8.2 beta on them as well as the
beta of RedHat WS (Taroon) for x86-64 on those that we have.
