Processor technology choice

Re. the Opteron, I'm getting experience now with installing/running them.

I've been looking forward to this ever since a talk I heard by Bo Thorsen,
then of SusE, a good couple of years ago.

Currently running kernel 2.4.22 on them, and Sun Gridengine as the queuing 
system.
