What's the name of the application? What types of simulations?  
Are you going to be using different initial conditions on each node
and run the same calculation?  If so you may want to stay with fast 
ethernet interconnects and invest in another node.

If there is a lot of communication, perhaps it would be wise to get
gigabit ethernet.
