Scyld and root directory

Jag:

The advice about swap and the local space worked very well. I modified
fstab and I, and beostat can now see the swap and root file space on the node. 
I also tried the kernelcommand line with less success.  I'll keep poking around.
This is the last obvious problem with my Scyld installation.

Thanks for your help. Any other ideas are welcome.
