<div>A steering wheel and a hand-brake make a driver feel safe, but maybe don't make the passenger feel safe. If the passenger pays for the car and doesn't trust the driver he may prefer to pay for airbags and a speed regulator. Airbags don't make you safe in an airplane, so we're used to trusting in the professionalism of the pilot, but cars have become ubiquitous. Programmers think of ourselves as jet pilots, but many businesses think of us as taxi drivers: we don't speak English, and they are willing to pay for airbags :-)
