<br><font size=2 face="sans-serif">What I get is a directory ( /tmp/pvm.1000 ) inside this directory is a file named "log". It appears to cointain what the name suggests, and is overwritten every time PVM is involked. I have deleted this directory stucture, and it is recreated on running the pvm shell. As I stated in my first mail, I can having multiple instances of pvmd running, so it dies not appear to create a lock.<br>

Check at LINUX.def file, there you find RSH option command, replace<br>
"/usr/bin/rsh" with "full_path_to_your_ssh_command" Of course you must<br>
generate SSH key for automatic login at remote node without entering the<br>
password. Look at the SSH man page<br>

Try my advise first, then tell us again if something still goes wrong<br>
