[Beowulf] how do I get started?

Yes, yes, see below.

The packages you need are openssh-server and openssh-client. The server
should be on all machines you must sign in to, the client on the
machines you wish to sign in from.

Here's a guide on setting up ssh so passwords will not be required (just
keys):
