[Beowulf] Which distro for the cluster?

Yes!

If it has sufficient security (FW, private network, etc.) and its
running well for your applications then theres *no* reason to blush
here.  If it works, it works.  There's no shame in making efficient use
of your time.  Quite the opposite...
