You may want to look at CLIC, Yet Another Beowulf 1 Solution based on
Mandrake Linux.

>From the Mandrake website:
"November 5th, 2002 - A new CLIC Phase1 ISO is available - A new version of
CLIC Phase1 has been released and is now available for download and testing
from clic.mandrakesoft.com. This new release provides additional features
from Mandrake Linux 9.0; includes a parallelized version of URPMI
(MandrakeSoft's automated software utility); plus numerous improvements and
bug fixes. Release notes are available here."

Subject: undergrad question on choosing OS

Hi-Im new to linux and Im working on my first Beowulf, I was
planning on going with RedHat 8.0, but would it be better
for me to use the Scyld software or maybe another distro?
Thanks for any input.
