Use of hubs not switches

All depends of your use of the beowulf. Since you will be pretty limited 
about the number of concurrent comunications between nodes, using your 
beowulf for something that uses a lot of inter-node comunication will 
decrease your performance. OTOH, some aplications, like cryptography, doesn't 
need a lot of data interchanging, so they will probably run well in such a 
cluster

BTW: 10 o 100Mbps net?
