We found it's better to use etherboot instead (with the SuperMicro DLE
it's even best to switch off PXE all together in the BIOS).
PXE doesn't seem able to cope with a DHCP server which doesn't respond
straight away. It just gets stuck. Etherboot keeps trying and will
boot as soon as it gets a DHCP reply, however long it takes.
