Diskless Nodes... (Not Again!)

Before I ask this, I'd like to say that I *have* gone through this list
archives
and looked through the install docs that come with the Scyld CD...

When I first booted my nodes, they came up as 'unavailable'. After reading, I
figured out that the fstab was referring to a non-existant hard drive in the
nodes. So I changed them to use /dev/ram3:

/dev/ram3     /        ext2   fs_size=65536  0 0
none          /proc    proc   defaults       0 0
none          /dev/pts devpts gid=5,mode=620 0 0
$MASTER:/home /home    nfs    defaults       0 0

Now, the node shows up as 'down'. I get this in my node log:

setup_fs: Checking /dev/ram3 (type=ext2)...
setup_fs: FSCK failure.
setup_fs: Creating ext2 on /dev/ram3...
Couldn't find ext2 superblock, trying backup blocks

<Large paragraph about running e2fsck>

/dev/ram3 is mounted.
e2fsck: Bad magic number in super-block while trying to open /dev/ram3
mke2fs 1.18, 11-Nov-1999 for EXT2 FS 0.5b 95/08/09
ext2fs_check_if_mount: No such file or directory while determining whether
/dev/ram3 is mounted.
setup_fs: Mounting /dev/ram3 on /rootfs//... (type=ext2; options=defaults)
setup_fs: Checking 172.16.1.254:/home (type=nfs)...
setup_fs: Mounting 172.16.1.254:/home on /rootfs//home... (type=nfs;
options=defaults)
node_modprobe: installing kernel module: sunrpc
node_modprobe: installing kernel module: lockd
node_modprobe: installing kernel module: nfs
setup_fs: Checking none (type=proc)...
setup_fs: Mounting none on /rootfs//proc... (type=proc; options=defaults)
setup_fs: Checking none (type=devpts)...
setup_fs: Mounting none on /rootfs//dev/pts... (type=devpts;
options=gid=5,mode=620)
setup_libs: Copying libraries to node 0...
Library copy to node 0 failed. (rootfs=/rootfs)

Now I can ping the node, but that's it.

Master is: K6II/533 w/ 128M RAM
Nodes are: K6II/500 w/ 64M RAM

Thanks,
Wyatt
